Mirrorilla

Mirrorilla is an infinity mirror created with the Zurich techno club ZUKUNFT. As the club nears its closing, the goal was to keep it alive in another dimension — one without time.

Through a face-tracking camera, visitors connect live with a gorilla head — a nod to the popular gorilla statue at the club's entrance. The visuals are audio-reactive to the club's music, and shaking your head sets off a trippy sequence.

Description

Mirrorilla was created in collaboration with the Zurich techno club ZUKUNFT. It was part of an interdisciplinary module of the ZHdK on the theme «Phygital».

Since the club will close soon, our goal was to keep ZUKUNFT alive in another dimension — one without time. This is why we created an infinity mirror. Through a face-tracking camera you are connected live with the gorilla head — a reference to the popular gorilla statue in the entrance area of the club.

In addition, the visuals are audio-reactive to the club music, and shaking your head starts a trippy sequence.
