Tape of Fate

«Tape of Fate» is an interactive wearable and performance that draws inspiration from the ancient Greek mythological concept of the Sisters of Fate. The wearable represents the second sister, Lachesis, and features magnetic tape symbolising the thread of life.

During the performance, the audience is able to influence the performer by interacting with the strings attached to the wearable. This input data manipulates a tape loop on the wearable's inside, altering the sound that resembles life.

The project challenges traditional ideas about destiny, encouraging audiences to think about the connections that shape our lives and the collective influence on individual fates. It was created in the module of «Embodied Interaction» at the Interaction Design Department of ZHdK.
